Which route to follow?

The Vidourle Greenway

The cycling loop crosses the Vidourle and the Gard Camargue. The greenway, on the other hand, was built on an old railway line to connect villages on a dedicated path, free from car traffic.

Starting from Vauvert

The route can begin in Vauvert, with its picturesque center and Belle Époque villas. About ten kilometers further, Calvisson and its three windmills offer a panoramic view of the entire Vaunage.

From Calvisson to Sommières

From Calvisson, the greenway continues to Sommières, a medieval town on the banks of the Vidourle, with its Roman bridge and castle. Further south, the route reaches Aigues-Mortes and its ramparts.

As a loop or in sections

The route can be completed as a full loop for the more athletic, or broken into shorter sections for a half-day outing.

The campsite is one of the few establishments in the region to offer nightly rentals off-season, allowing you to organize a cycling weekend without booking for the whole week.
